CleanTech Grants Canada: Non-Dilutive Capital for Net-Zero Scale.
Accelerate your clean energy, industrial decarbonization, circular economy, and environmental technology projects. We help Canadian clean tech innovators access federal and provincial green subsidies.
Federal and Provincial Clean Technology Grant Opportunities
Federal Demonstration Grants
Non-dilutive capital contributions covering 33% to 50% of eligible costs for industrial-scale prototype validation, renewable energy, and emissions reduction demonstration.
Industrial Energy Efficiency
Provincial incentives across Ontario, British Columbia, and Quebec for equipment electrification, waste heat recovery, and manufacturing carbon footprint reduction.
Major Industrial Decarbonization
High-value federal co-investments for heavy industrial emitters and technology innovators developing carbon capture, hydrogen, and clean fuel alternatives.
Funding Criteria & Rules
What types of clean technology projects qualify for funding in Canada?
Eligible projects span renewable energy generation, energy storage/batteries, circular economy recycling, industrial electrification, clean hydrogen, carbon capture, and sustainable agriculture.
Do CleanTech projects qualify for SR&ED tax credits?
Yes. CleanTech R&D expenditures (salaries, materials, and contractor testing) qualify for full SR&ED tax credit recovery up to 64.5%, stacked alongside non-dilutive government contributions.
What TRL level is required for Canadian clean tech grants?
Funding pools exist across all Technology Readiness Levels: NRC IRAP and SDTC support TRL 4–7 (prototyping and validation), while federal Clean Growth and SIF support TRL 7–9 (commercial demonstration and scaling).
