Overview
Support primes before award through the VP or after award through ITB fulfillment.
Capability positioning and Canadian Content Value are central to ITB relevance.
Canadian SMBs can be strategically attractive under ITB tools and incentives.
We help convert technical capability into a procurement-facing commercial story.
ITB is not a normal grant program. It is a procurement-driven market access framework.
Canadian companies usually need help with fit, positioning, vocabulary, and business development sequence. This section is designed for contract-seeking firms that want to understand how to become useful inside the ITB ecosystem.

Frequently asked questions
What is the ITB policy?
The Industrial and Technological Benefits policy requires companies awarded eligible Canadian defence and coast guard procurements to undertake business activity in Canada equal to the value of the contract.
Who does ITB affect?
It applies directly to prime contractors, and indirectly to the Canadian companies they work with — suppliers, technology partners, research organizations and firms that receive investment or export support from a prime.
What is Canadian Content Value?
Canadian Content Value (CCV) is the measure used to credit the Canadian portion of work performed under an obligation. It determines how much of a given activity counts toward a prime’s commitment.
How does a Canadian company get onto a prime’s radar?
By documenting a specific, verifiable capability, aligning it to the Key Industrial Capabilities and value proposition pillars a prime is being scored on, and engaging before bids close rather than after award.
