How CSBFP government-guaranteed loans work
- Up to $1,000,000 for real estate. Purchase or improvement of commercial real property, manufacturing buildings and land, with amortization up to 15 years.
- Up to $500,000 for equipment. Commercial machinery, heavy vehicles, medical equipment and software technology, with 85 % to 90 % financing ratios.
- Up to $150,000 in operating credit. Revolving lines of credit for payroll, inventory, suppliers and day-to-day cash flow.
What to know
The CSBFP is delivered by participating financial institutions, which make the credit decision. The government shares the risk with the lender; it does not lend directly. A 2 % registration fee applies and can be financed.
How we can help
We help prepare a coherent file for the lender, place the loan among the other public funding sources, and coordinate accounting work with partner firms where needed. Credit decisions rest with the financial institutions.
